SCOPE OF DUTIES

1. Conducts chemical and physical analyses, gas, cryogenic liquids, crude oil and petroleum products characterization and ASTM / IP / BSI / CPA / ISO standard test methods.

2. Understands boiler water chemistry and is familiar with environment testing.

3. Performs various sampling techniques including for cryogenic mediums.

4. Creates chromatographic methods and performs instruments calibration. Familiar with the various calibration types.

5. Monitors and studies calibration data for its precision and validity.

6. Well versed with the calculations of gas physical properties

7. Plans and conducts analytical investigations related to process problems including corrosion matters.

8. Studies, adapts methods and writes procedures.

9. Performs equipments troubleshooting and manages stock inventory.

10. Writes technical reports and able to publish articles. Prepares training materials and elaborates programs.

11. Prepares and delivers oral presentations.

12. Performs statistical analytical data treatment and administrates the Laboratory Information Management System.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

1. B.Sc. in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering (preferably post-graduate)

2. Minimum 8 years experience in similar position in gas/petroleum analytical laboratory in senior position

3. Wide-ranging experience in gas and liquid chromatography

4. Good knowledge of Chemstation, Galaxie and Totalchrom chromatographic software, etc.

5. Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English

6. Well organized and preferably knows standards such as ISO-17025 and ISO-14001.

7. Very good computer literacy/skills

REMUMUNERATION PACKAGE

1. Salary is negotiable, with comprehensive benefits package.

2. Work/Leave Cycle: 5/2 (i.e. 5 working days on Das Island, followed by 2 days off) with 42 days annual leave.

3. Messing and accommodation are provided free of charge while on the Island.
